Self-Defense Workshop
Experience the power of your intention, your voice, and your strikes.
Workshop includes:

● It is physically active, but designed for everybody, no matter your level of fitness
You will learn to:
● Set clear boundaries
● Strike with full commitment
● Recognize the warning signs of offender behavior
Topics include:
● Self-defense mindset
● Intuition and awareness
● Body targets and body weapons
● Offender ploys
● Intimate partner violence
● Myths and truths about violence
We will train the following self-defense tactics:
✵ PHYSICAL DEFENSE ✵ BODY LANGUAGE ✵ VOICE ✵ COMPLY ✵ TELL
You will practice using your self-defense skills in real-life scenarios.
What to know:
We provide a safe, supportive atmosphere for everyone. This workshop is open to teens and adults of all abilities. We welcome all cis, trans, and non-binary people and center our teaching on experiences of gender-based violence.
To get the most out of your participation, please bring water and wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in.
Our instructors:
Katherine White, Danielle, McGrath, and Annie Ericson all are black belts in the Indonesian art of Pukulan. Together we have over 50 years of teaching experience. For us, teaching is a labor of love. It is an opportunity to share our many years of martial arts and self-defense training in a way that is easily accessible to everyone. We teach because we know self-defense saves lives and changes lives.
