Closing This Chapter with Gratitude
A message from Fawn
After nearly seven years as Director and Owner, I've decided to step down from Elk Rock Yoga, effective September 1st. I'm excited to share that Krista Lennartz, a familiar face in the Portland yoga and Pilates community, will be taking over as the studio's new Director and Owner.
Since acquiring Elk Rock Yoga in 2020, I've had the privilege of guiding this studio from an online and downtown Milwaukie presence during the shutdown to where it stands today — one of the most beloved yoga communities in the Pacific Northwest. Together we've expanded our membership, developed signature programs like the True Self Training Program, and grown to serve students, corporate partners, and communities across Washington, Oregon, and California.
This summer I'm keeping things small. My health and family have needed my attention, and I'm not able to host a large celebration right now. My feelings are mixed — this past year has brought real grief alongside real gratitude. I recently marked one year since completing cancer treatment, and while I'm thankful for the care of my medical team and everyone who's supported me along the way, I'm still managing some residual effects and not yet back to everything I once was.
This community has been a tremendous part of my healing. Your support and kindness have sustained me in ways I won't forget. Serving Elk Rock Yoga has been the honor of my professional career, and I leave knowing the studio is in excellent hands with Krista.
Thank you for everything. You've made this community what it is, and I can't wait to see it continue to thrive.
With deep gratitude,
Fawn
